Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer Fringe) (£35,602 - £54,327)

Full Time, Temporary, Spring and Summer Terms (January -August 2027)

We require a dynamic Teacher of PE to teach Boys PE across the full age and ability range, initially on a temporary basis for two terms (Spring and Summer terms 2027).

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Boy’s Physical Education to join our successful PE department and build upon its recent achievements. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to be part of our thriving PE department, in particular helping to shape and support our continuing success in boys football and rugby.

The department enjoys a strong reputation for academic and sporting excellence and plays a central role in school life.

About the Department

In recent years, students have achieved strong outcomes in GCSE and Post-16 PE courses, with consistently high levels of progress and engagement. The department has also celebrated success across a range of competitive sports, with teams regularly competing and achieving success at local, district and county level. Participation in extracurricular sport continues to flourish, with large numbers of students representing the school and contributing to its reputation for sporting excellence.

The PE department is committed to developing the whole child and provides a broad programme of opportunities including competitive sport, leadership development, officiating, coaching and enrichment activities. Students are encouraged to develop resilience, confidence, teamwork and leadership skills alongside their academic achievements.

The school serves a diverse community and is proud of its inclusive ethos, where every student is encouraged to discover and develop their God-given talents. Sport is an important part of that journey, helping pupils to develop confidence, resilience, leadership and a lifelong commitment to health and wellbeing.
