About the job

For January 2027, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our brilliant department.

At Testwood, we live by our core values—Caring, Inclusive, and Ambitious. We want to inspire the next generation through the power of language and literature, empowering students to express themselves with confidence, think critically, and explore diverse perspectives that shape our world.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students and also the possibility of teaching KS4 media studies. For the right candidate, there is also an exciting opportunity for potential leadership of a second subject (Media Studies) or further leadership roles within the wider school.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an imaginative, inspiring, and creative teacher to work in a supportive, energetic, and innovative school which is well regarded in the local community.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher looking for your next career step or an ECT, we welcome applications from individuals who share our values and are committed to making a difference to our students at Testwood School.
