About the job
Glasshoughton Infant Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate, and caring Early Years Teacher to join our dedicated team of teachers and support staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational practitioner who is committed to giving every child the very best start to their educational journey.
You will:
- Have a genuine passion for teaching and a belief that every child can succeed.
- Have experience within the primary phase and a strong understanding of child development. You recognise that every child is unique and bring creativity, adaptability, and care to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring all pupils are supported to flourish.
- Be an exceptional classroom practitioner who can create engaging, purposeful learning environments where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. You will have high expectations for all pupils and strive to make every lesson meaningful, challenging, and enjoyable.
- Be committed to inclusive education and believe every child deserves to feel a true sense of belonging. You will champion equity and inclusion, ensuring our curriculum is accessible, ambitious, and inspiring for all learners, regardless of background, ability, or need.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and understand the importance of knowing each pupil as an individual. You will be warm, approachable, and consistent, creating an environment where children feel confident to take risks, ask questions, and be the very best version of themselves.
- Value the importance of working in partnership with families and recognise the vital role parents and carers play in a child's education. You will communicate openly and positively, building strong relationships that support children to achieve their full potential.
- Be a collaborative team player who enjoys working alongside colleagues, sharing ideas, and learning from others. You will contribute positively to our school community and embrace opportunities to support whole-school improvement.
In return, we offer:
- Wonderful children who are enthusiastic, welcoming, and eager to learn.
- A caring and supportive staff team who genuinely value collaboration and wellbeing.
- A positive school culture where everyone is encouraged to flourish and succeed.
- High-quality professional development and opportunities to grow your career.
- Leaders who will support, challenge, and invest in your success.
- The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children, families, and the wider community every single day.
If you are passionate about helping children thrive, enjoy working as part of a dedicated team, and want to be part of a school where relationships, ambition, and kindness are at the heart of everything we do, we would love to hear from you.
